The Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan is a coordinating body of administration, authorized for problem solution and carrying out the state policy in the sphere of telecommunication, information and radio frequency spectrum use.

The Agency is primarily tasked to issue fixed and wireless licenses to telecom operators for telecom services in Uzbekistan. Apart from that the agency has the power and responsibility to promote and protect the interests of users of telecommunication services in Uzbekistan.
