ITCN Asia 2009 was held at the Karachi Expo Centre from 11th to 13th August, boasting participation from over 130 leading organizations from the IT and Telecom sector.
Central Asian Cellular Forum in collaboration with Qualcomm marked their presence in the event alongside other multinationals. Presentations on LTE, HSDPA+ and EVDO were demonstrated at the stall. Qualcomm’s highly successful device, kayak – a bridge between cell phones and PCs was also showcased alongside some 3G mobile handsets and USB Dongles.
In addition to that, Mr. Raheel Kamal, Senior Director Global Business Development, Qualcomm Inc USA spoke on “Stimulating Economic Growth with 3G broadband Applications and Services” at the Inaugural Session.
Along with that, Mr. Raheel Kamal also spoke at the 9th International Telecom Conference, Second Technical Session on the “Technology Solutions to Deploy 3G Networks Cost effectively”.
Mr. Khalid Khan, Chairman, Central Asian Cellular Forum, also presented his insights on the challenges of dynamic technology with a special focus on “3G Positioning in Pakistan”.
The Event was attended by more than 117 foreign delegates from Canada, China, France, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE, U.K and USA with a total attendance of over 42,000 attendants including industry gurus as well as the general public.
